How might we podcast from anywhere simply and easily?

What is it?

Anchor is a platform that allows you to post audio and have people engage with it from around the world. Their tagline is "Radio by the people." and since this week you can now use Anchor to post your audio messages to Twitter. This enables you to engage with your followers in a new unique way.

So What?

Anchor has the potential to change the current space of online Twitter chats which currently only happen through typing. As an educator, I follow #bcedchat when I want to see what is happening with education in BC. For these type of professional development conversations it serves a perfect in-between to Periscope and Twitter chats.  Through Anchor can feel more connected though voice and tone yet not have to display themselves on a video chat.

Now what?

If you participate in Twitter chats using #... this may be the perfect medium for you and your colleagues to engage in professional development in a way that feels more like a coffee shop conversation or a PD.

Besides, who need to type more on their computer anyways...
