How might we develop rubrics for our work that help give us feedback toward our instructional and EdTech goals?

The section of this blog categorized as Master of Educational Technology is my ePortfolio for my work during my time in the MET Program at UBC.

Project: The ePortfolio and Assessment Rubric (click here to view)

Skills: Have the ability to self-evaluate and understand where and how improvements in one's learning can occur.

Tools: Squarespace and Google Docs

Reflection: Throughout the building and developing of this rubric, I really started to ask myself what I wanted out of building a rubric. As each portfolio is such an intimate and personal endeavour. I created my rubric with the thought of allowing people to give their feedback. I wanted to try and give space for people to leave comments about how and what they think could be improved. I have noticed throughout my journey in the MET program that without inviting the other person to give critical feedback, then often times people will not include it. I want critical feedback, it makes me a better designer, a better teacher and a better educator. When I enter critical discourse and disagreements I love hearing other points of view. I have made this artifact link to an open google doc that allows anyone who views it the able to comment and leave feedback.  If you are evaluating this for MET 590 or if you would just like to give me some feedback, click the image above and leave your comments. As always, it is appreciated.
