Reflection: I started my MET journey, in ETEC 510 looking at the design of technology supported environments. In our final project my partner Ives Manville and I decided to develop and write a piece about learning design and how it should be intuitive for teachers and students. We also wanted this design to address ways that lesson plans may become obsolete or not needed as learning would be visible across the organization based on different hierarchy’s of users and login criteria. Understanding how to develop software for education to make technology easier, is part of understanding how technology works inside of education. In this project, we created a mobile ready website/software demonstration that allowed teachers and students to create classroom and message boards online. I built this using customized plugins for Wordpress, custom HTML and CSS.
